Shielo Anti-Aging Complexion scrub

Another sample I was sent for review was Shielo Anti-Aging Complexion scrub. This claims to treat fine lines and wrinkles, repair discolouration and help to regenerate the skin. Now, I'll be honest, at 30 years old the lines aren't too bad, but I'm grateful for any preventative measures I can get. In regards to discolouration, well the freckles I've had since I could remember aren't going anywhere no matter how good this is. Besides, I'm quite attached to them (couldn't resist my little joke).

However, I'm always on the lookout for something that helps to keep my skin clear of spots and dry skin, preferably without losing an entire layer of skin in the process. Some scrubs can be so harsh that that's exactly how it feels. I've heard that we need to be careful with scrubs in order to avoid damaging or inflaming the skin, so to avoid this I prefer something with little round particles which are much gentler.

This scrub has just that, or Jojoba Microspheres as they call them, sounds much more impressive, doesn't it? A little goes a long way as with the other products from Shielo and this is one of the less expensive items in their range. My skin is nicely exfoliated minus damage or irritation. Worth a try? I think so.

  1. I love how my skin feels after I exfoliate it, but I hate the redness that lasts for so long. Ugh. I wonder if this is what I need?

  2. Hi Kristin, I get really bad redness on my cheeks and nose, not a good look, like a gnome:-( This scrub really is much gentler than any others I've tried and didn't leave me looking raw. I think it could be a good option for you.
